§ 82-59. Issuance or denial; transferability.

(a)

If the city commission finds favorably to the applicant and grants a permit for the operation of taxicabs, a permit shall be issued to the applicant. Such permit shall not be transferable, except upon application to and consent of the city commission.

(b)

If the city commission finds against the applicant and decides that the public convenience, necessity and safety do not justify the issuance of such permit or that the applicant is not fit to conduct the taxicab business or the equipment is not fit for such business, no permit shall be issued, and notice of the action of the city commission shall be given to the applicant setting forth the reason for the refusal of such permit.
