§ 42-221. Exemption.

Notwithstanding anything in this article to the contrary, during the period from the effective date of the ordinance from which this division derives until December 1, 1996, no road impact fee as otherwise required under division 2 of this article, no police impact fee as otherwise required under division 4 of this article and no fire impact fee as otherwise required under division 5 of this article shall be due or payable for the issuance of building permits within the commercial redevelopment corridor for redevelopment of those specific areas of land which are physically occupied by buildings existing at the time of application for a building permit. Areas of land upon which no building is located at the time of application for a building permit shall not be entitled to the exemption from road, police and fire impact fees under this division.
