§ 18-92. Application; plans.

  • (a)

    All applications for building permits shall be accompanied by plans, in triplicate, drawn to scale, showing the actual dimensions and shape of the lot to be built upon; the exact sizes and locations on the lot of buildings already existing, if any; and the location and dimensions of the proposed building or alteration. The application shall include such other information as may be required by the building official, including existing or proposed uses of the building and land; the number of families, housekeeping units or rental units the building is designed to accommodate; conditions existing on the lot; and such other matters as may be necessary to determine conformance with and to provide for the enforcement of this article. Drawings shall show the location of the proposed building or structure and of every existing building or structure on the site or lot. The building official may require a boundary line survey prepared by a qualified surveyor.

    (b)

    A minimum of three copies of such plans shall be marked as approved or disapproved and returned to the building official, and one copy shall be retained by the building official.

    (c)

    The building official may require details, computations, stress diagrams, surveys and other data necessary to describe the construction or installation and the basis of calculations.
